The Elven Ranger is one of the strongest forces of the Realm. Like their namesakes in many other fantasy properties, the Elves excel at ranged combat and healing abilities. The second faction for the Realm is the Elves of Morhir. While relatively weak, they make up for this disadvantage with very fast movement. Since this magic damage negates armor, they can quickly kill even the hardiest enemy. These are best used as "shock troops", flying in a group of six or more and directing their fire at a single target.
Last within the Human faction, we have the Mage, a flying spellcaster with high damage output. When used in conjunction with ranged units, the Paladin is a force to be reckoned with. Not as effective in large groups, these armored warriors are great for clogging up the battlefield with their large size and ability to bring dead units back to life as ghost soldiers. great for taking out heavily armored units like Heroes. They are fast and mobile, with a high armor piercing damage output. The Mounted Crossbowman is exceptional for surgical strikes against your enemy. Human units The rest of the Human faction is made up of mounted units. The second tier Crossbowman unit is also very strong in the early game, but they do not provide the same benefit as the Soldier does in terms of a low cost unit.
Use this to your advantage whenever you can to keep them out of your base and busy with your units. This makes them very strong in the early game, giving you the option of a strong defense or offense against your opponents. You won't find a better first tier unit than the Realm Soldier, which has the highest armor of all the factions. While strong on the offense, they are also good to place behind your own defensive structures for added damage to attacking forces. They are also good at destroying large numbers of enemy units. Low upgrade costs, cheap units and the best control to unit ratio make this faction one to be feared. Winning and losing is often a matter of having the right units at the right time, something at which the Realm excels.
